The Bribery At 2010 course has been developed from the ground up with experts to help you understand the corporate offence of failing to prevent bribery. It has been designed to create awareness of how to recognise a bribe, what should be done in the event of bribery being discovered, and how to put procedures in place that show your company has taken adequate measure to prevent bribery in the workplace. It also addresses the complicated high risk area of corporate hospitality.

The UK Bribery Act 2010 came into force on 1st July 2011, making it a legal requirement for all businesses that operate within the UK to ensure adequate protection and training is in place against bribery and corruption in the workplace.

By completing this course you will learn about your legal obligations and minimising the risk of bad publicity or legal action.

This course is useful for anyone who would like to increase their awareness of this legislation.

On completion of this course learners will:

  • Understand the purpose and scope of the Bribery Act 2010
  • Identify the types of offences under the Bribery Act namely offering a bribe, receiving a bribe, bribing a foreign public official and the corporate offence of failing to prevent bribery
  • Understand the varied implications for individuals and companies
  • Understand the potential consequences and penalties resulting from a breach of the Bribery Act for individuals and companies

When you've completed this online training you will sit an online test and, once successful, you can download your Virtual College certificate.
