500 people are killed, 30,000 people are seriously injured and 30 million days are lost per year due to work - related injuries. The focus of this module is to raise awareness of the potential hazards and what measures can be used to minimise the number of work related accidents within an engineering environment. Health and Safety rules and regulations are also very important and this course will help the learner to have a greater knowledge of these regulations and how to comply with them.
